Superbad (2007)

Not one for the kids...

Oh. My. Gosh. I forget how incredible this film is until I rewatch it and remember how funny it is. This is, hands down, one of the best comedies ever made. I don't care what anyone says unless they agree then woo-hoo! 'Superbad' is potentially the most relatable comedy for any young adult and any adult because kids should not watch this. At all. It is hilarious, it has comedy geniuses such as Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen and more in, plus the very loveable McLovin. "Wait... you changed your name to... McLovin?" - personally I don't see what's wrong with it. I just can't get over how little this film gets talked about in comparison to other comedy greats such as 'Shaun of the Dead', 'Ferris Beuller's Day Off' and 'Step Brothers'. If I'm being honest, it is my favourite comedy film and it really does make me laugh out loud. To be honest, I just don't get it because I laugh harder at this than all of those three, although 'Shaun...' is a very close second. I must admit, I was very sceptical of this at first, granted I was quite the youngling when I first ventured into this world of comedy. However, it really does grab you in from the very beginning and touches on so many topics in the film that are often overlooked due to the hilarious nature of the film. I know for a fact I will never get tired of seeing this.

Personally, 'Superbad' is a fantastic film for me to enjoy at any point of the day, no matter what has happened. I feel like this would be the go-to movie for me if I were having a bad day because I know I'd be guaranteed to feel better afterwards. I have to say that this is up there with some of the best comedy movies of all time, and those that haven't seen this yet need to. There really isn't much more that I can say other than this is a really fun film, guarantees laughs, and one that everyone can enjoy.
