A Star Is Born (2018)

I'm going to set the record straight; I'm not a huge fan of musicals. Normally I actively avoid them but this one isn't too much of a musical but more of a progression about a singer. And it's fantastic. I remember seeing this for the first time (and only time so far) and just being blown away by not only the performances in music but in acting too. Lady Gaga is phenomenal in this and I would love to see her in more acting roles and I expected nothing less from Bradley Cooper. 'A Star Is Born' captures the story of two singers, one on the rise and one in the prime of their career, how their lives cross paths and where this takes them. I wholeheartedly say this, not a word of a lie, but I loved it. I didn't expect to, nor did I really want to, but I am so damn glad I have seen this. I must even admit the film is tear-jerking and emotional (something I have only felt in 'Avengers: Endgame'). "Talent comes everywhere" and the biggest talent in this entire film is the casting director because they did an impeccable job at picking the perfect people to perform these roles. I really need to see this film again, and I'm sure I'll notice even more about it but this is by far one of the best films of 2018, no questions asked.
